I visited your resort this weekend as a guest of my daughter, Deidre Ruth and her 5 year old son Evan (they are annual pass holders), also my 5 year old granddaughter Kenzie.

The trip was mostly fabulous. Kenzie had never been there before and she was in awe. The staff at both our hotel and the park were awesome. They were friendly and respectful. I have to commend you on great team members. Chef Mickey's dinner and meeting Cinderella where the highlights of our weekend.

We had 2 problems while we there.

The first was we stayed at All Star Movies in room 8707. The room is one of your renovated rooms. The room itself is great. I even want to thank you for putting make up mirrors in room. It truly helps us older folks. The problem with the room was it smells like sewage in the bathroom. It's not all the time but when it hits, it's bad. I have a feeling something is a miss with the sewage line and is backing up the smell into the room. My daughter and I talked it over and decided to complain while we were there would not help. We knew the resort was booked so there would be no way to change rooms and were afraid if we said anything we would have had to stay and wait for maintenance to show up. As I said we were there to go to the park for one day so we didn't want to miss one minute while there. We had to fight with the kids to take a bath or even go the bathroom because according to them it smelled like "poop".

The second issues was at the park. We had waited close to an hour for the firework display. We were right next to a walkway about 15 feet away from the front. Your employee was doing a great job not letting anyone fill in that area until about 15 minutes before show time. A large family group of Spanish speaking African americans decided they wanted that area for them. The shoved their way past us and blocked our children view. I asked them politely to move and explained it was a walkway and not allowed to be blocked. I also told them they were blocking the view for children who had been waiting. Several of the men in their group who were quite large told me to bad they had kids to. One of the women came right us to my face and started asking what my problem was. Telling me I was just being racist because they were black and we were white. I'm 5"4 and am skinny. And while part of the family pushed past others couldn't get by because there was no more room unless the pushed people back. Instead they stood behind my talking trash. They really were threatening to me so I can kind of understand why your employee gave in and allowed them to stay in front. I couldn't hear that conversation but would assume it wasn't any better than the one I had with that family. I understand is hard to control so many people at once. My issue is because of what happened my grandchildren could not see the castle because of these people and your employee not stopping them.

So what should have been our trip ending on a happy way, ended with 2 disappointed 5 year olds who couldn't see.

Here are a few pictures to the kids while at the park.

I agree with the last commenter for sure. You need to speak up while you are there.

You don't have to be in your room for maintenance to come, they will do it while you are out. They are happy to help out and you may even get an upgrade to another resort if they can't fix the problem and don't have another room. They can't help if you don't ask. As far as the fireworks, we encountered a similar situation when an adult decided to sit up on a railing blocking the view of others behind him.

He was tall enough to see while standing up, did not need to sit on top of the railing. One cast member allowed him to do it, but I found another and they helped us out.

Always ask. :)

As someone who goes to Disney all the time, let me say, don't ever just sit there and suffer in silence if you have a problem tell someone., Disney has always fixed any problem we made them aware of, even if they were booked they could have moved you to another resort or maybe even got matience to come fix the problem, we have been moved from Pop Century to Wilderness Lodge for less of an issue than that.
