My family went to Epcot Center on their last day just to have a few good pictures taken with the Spaceship and the photographer was a disaster, too much exposure on the background... it is all white!

You can't see the Spaceship at all, none on the pictures. Then the images are blurry, out of focus... horrible. A child would have done a better job.

Disney charges almost $170 for pictures that suck. I have been trying to contact at Disney for over two weeks to complain, nobody cares... Guest Services tell me it's not their department, Photo Pass keeps you on hold for almost an hour before they drop your call, I have emailed Disney 3 or 4 times... nobody cares!!!!!

This is sad. Very unhappy with the way Disney has treated us, they only want your money, after you pay them, they are gone.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Walt Disney World Cons: Customer service and photopass experience.

Location: Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, FL 32830, USA

Ouch. I sympathize with this one.

Preordering PhotoPass is kinda risky for anything except the longest trips (a week or more). While many of the PhotoPass photographers are excellent photographers in their own right, Disney doesn't allow them a ton of freedom in their methods & techniques. I recommend looking up SirWillow on youtube as he's actually worked for Disney in this capacity. The quick version though is that the photographers are basically given the camera settings for the location they'll be working.

They aren't allowed to change things about the camera after that. I don't doubt that your particular PhotoPass CM did their best, but probably just couldn't make it work.

For anyone considering PhotoPass pre-purchase: Plan to take a TON of pictures. Stop and talk to EVERY photopass CM you see and just grin and bear the lines to get pics with ALL your favorite characters. The more pictures you have taken, the more likely it is that some will turn out well.

I know that's not what most people want to hear -- these people are supposed to be professionals, why can't they all be good pics? Unfortunately, that's just not how life goes. They try to get the "candid" shot when you first greet the character, and often that's far-and-away the best pic, but that one time we blink or have our bodies turned too far from the camera or we or the character move just as the photographer pushes the button and suddenly the shot is "ruined." Try to console yourself by remembering how great it was to meet the character or spend time with your loved ones. I have a really bad pic from and Epcot photopass CM too, but I remember us laughing about squinting into the sun and the things we did right after to rest our eyes.

It was a good time, and I remember the fun, even if that one pic isn't a great representation of that fact.

FYI: You can get one day's worth of your PhotoPass pics for $60 after the fact -- but you cannot pre-order a single day of photopass.

And you can go through your pics on the My Disney Experience app to see if they're worth buying before you commit. Pre-ordering PhotoPass for your whole trip saves money over doing it after the fact, but $160 is a big gamble for most folks unless your trip is long enough to basically guarantee that you'll get a ton of photos taken.
